Anniversary card

For ikke så lenge siden hadde mine svigerforeldre gullbryllupsdag. Dessverre var det så mye stress i forkant at jeg ikke rakk å bli ferdig med kortet til dagen, men jeg håper det blir satt pris på likevel. De har ikke fått gaven sin heller så jeg håper det går greit.
*Not too long ago my in-laws had their 50th anniversary. Unfortunately there were so much stress ahead that I didn't have time to finish the card for their day, but I hope they will still appreciate it. They haven't got their present yet either, so I hope it'll be okay.*

Jeg har brukt et nydelig ark fra Pion Designs From My Heart II kolleksjonen og holdt dekoren enkel for å la arket komme frem.
*I've used a gorgeous paper from Pion Designs From My Heart II collection and kept the decor simple to let the paper stand out.*

Bildet av brudeparet fra 50 år tilbake fikk jeg av min svigersøster. Jeg monterte det enkelt på matter av Bazzill kraft og Vanilla. Navnene og bryllupsdatoen printet jeg fra pc'n og stanset ut med Spellbinders dies. Blomstene fra Wild Orchid Crafts og Kort og Godt, samt perlene fra lageret mitt kan jeg ikke leve uten lenger. Helt klart favorittprodukter til kortlaging!
*The photo of the couple from 50 years ago I got from my sister-in-law. I simply mounted it on Bazzill kraft and vanilla mats. The names and wedding date I printed from my computer and diecut with Spellbinders dies. The flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort og Godt and the pearls from my stash I can't live without anymore. Definately favorite products for cardmaking.*

Bak bildet har jeg skjult en Magnolia tag med en tekst fra Kort og Godt, pyntet med seambinding fra WOC og en stor perle fra lageret mitt.

På innsiden får arkene spille hovedrollen, jeg har bare stemplet en tekst fra Kort og Godt rett på arket.

På den nederste siden er det god plass til å skrive en personlig hilsen.
*On the bottom page there is plenty of space to write a personal greeting.*

Og på baksiden har jeg fulgt samme oppskrift og stemplet mitt personlige Rox stempel rett på arket med en liten tekst fra Norsk Stempelblad.
*And in the back I've used the same recipe and stamped my personal Rox stamp directely onto the paper with a little sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad.*

Tre kjappe

Når småttisene skal i bursdagsselskap er det greit å ha et lite lager av enkle, fiks ferdige kort, så jeg har laget opp noen slike guttekort med kule produkter fra Fancy Pants. Jeg har også skrevet en artikkel om det for scrapping.no, som kan leses her.
*When the little ones are going to birthday parties it's nice to have a little storage of simple, ready made cards, so I made up a few of these little boy's cards with cool products from Fancy Pants. I've also written an article about it for scrapping.no that can be read  here.*

Et helt vanlig bursdagskort

Jeg var ikke før ferdig med konfirmasjonskortene, før bestillingene på bursdagskort strømmet på. Dette var en "i siste liten"-bestilling til en 50 års-dag, så det ble en nokså enkel variant.
*I was barely done with the confirmation cards when the commissions for birthday cards came pouring in. This was a last minute-commision for a 50th birthday so it's a quite simple solution.*

Bestilleren ønsket lilla blomster, så det var rimelig enkelt å hente frem de deilige Maja Design arkene. Blomstene er fra Storyteller og Wild Orchid Crafts. Det brede satinbåndet er fra lageret mitt og perlene er fra Storyteller.
*The commissioner wanted purple flowers, so it was quite easy to get the yummy papers from Maja Design.* The flowers are from Storyteller and Wild Orchid Crafts. The wide satin ribbon is from my stash and the pearls are from Storyteller.*

Bak teksten fra Kort og Godt, som også var spesielt ønsket av bestilleren, har jeg skjult en tag med "Gratulerer med dagen" fra det samme stempelsettet, stanset ut med en Magnolia die og pyntet med seambinding, tråd og en knapp fra lageret mitt.
*Behind the text from Kort og Godt which was also requested by the commissioner, I've hidden a tag with "Happy Birthday" from the same stamp set, die cut with a Magnolia die and decorated with seambinding, twine and a button from my stash.*

Innsidene er veldig enkle. Bestilleren ønsket å skrive en tekst selv, i tillegg til en personlig hilsen, så jeg gjorde det enkelt med plass til teksten rett på mønsterarket.
*The insides are really simple. The commissioner wanted to write her own text in addition to a personal greeting, so I made it easy with room for the text directely onto the patterned paper.*

En helt enkel bakside også, med mitt personlige stempel, kombinert med en liten tekst fra det samme stempelsettet.
*A simple backside too with my personal stamp combined with a little sentiment from the same stamp set.*

Busy, busy, busy

Nok en uke har flydd forbi uten at jeg har fått lagt ut noe her. Ikke fordi jeg ikke har laget noe, for jeg har vært superproduktiv, det er bare ikke noe som kan vises frem riktig enda. Men i dag fikk jeg endelig gjort et lite prosjekt som jeg kan dele. Et konfirmasjonskort, selvfølgelig.
*Another week has flown by without me updating here. Not because I haven't made anything, cuz I've been super productive, it's just nothing that can be published just yet. But today I finally got to make a little project to share. A confirmation card, of course.*

I min jakt på noen helt andre ark, snublet jeg over dette nydelige arket fra Studiolight. Og når jeg ser sånt klarer jeg jo ikke å stæsje på en masse greier, så det ble en enkel tekst fra Papirdesign, stanset ut med Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, svertet med Distress Ink Antique Linen og noen blomster fra Wild Orchid Crafts.
*In my hunt for some completely different papers I stumbled upon this gorgeous paper from Studiolight. And when I see theese kind of papers I just can't stuff on a bunch of bellies, so I did a simple text from Papirdesign, die cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, inked with Distress Ink Antique Linen and a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.*

Innsidene er enda enklere og arkene får virkelig spille hovedrollen.
*The insides are even simpler and the papers get to play the lead.*

På den øverste siden inni har jeg stanset ut en tekst fra Staz med samme die som forsiden. Panelet er bare limt på tre sider, på den måten kan man stikke inn en seddel eller to om man ønsker. Og hvis ikke er det ingen som aner noe likevel. *ler*
*On the top page inside I've die cut a sentiment from Staz with the same die as in front. The panel is only glued on three sides that way one could put in a bill or two if one wishes. And if not nobody will know the difference anyway. *lol*

Jeg har ikke lagt inn noe skrivefelt. Arket er så diskret at det går helt fint å skrive rett på arket.
*I haven't put in any particular space for a personal greeting. The paper is so discreet that it works just fine to write directely on the paper.*

Mitt personlige stempel fra Rox stamps har blitt godt brukt i det siste. Det er så genialt med den åpne plassen i midten hvor man kan plassere nesten hva man vil. Her har jeg brukt et lite tekststempel fra Kort og Godt.
*My personal stamp from Rox stamps have been put to good use lately. It's brilliant with the open space in the centre where you can put in almost whatever you want. Here I've stamped a little sentiment from Kort og Godt that reads "May all your dreams come true".*

Gratulerer med overstått, Elin!

Søteste Elin, aka ~Tjorven~, hadde bursdag for en tid tilbake og snille jenter fortjener en liten oppmerksomhet, så det gikk en liten konvolutt herfra til henne. Men jeg kunne ikke publisere det før jeg visste at det var kommet frem og så mye som hun farter rundt, så tok det sin tid.


Til jul fikk jeg en alldeles herlig chevron die fra henne og siden hun har mast etter å se flere CAS kort fra meg i det siste, var det ganske naturlig å lage et CAS-kort med chevron die'en til dagen hennes.
*Sweet Elin, aka ~Tjorven~, had her birthday some time ago and sweet girls deserves a little attention so a little envelope went from me to her. But I couldn't publish this before I knew that she'd got it and she's around so much that it took a while.
For christmas I got a gorgeous chevron die from her and since she's been nagging me about more CAS cards lately it naturally had to be a CAS card with the chevron die for her birthday.*

Jeg har ganske enkelt stanset ut mønsteret i en herlig brun Bazzill kartong og festet den over en hvit base. Samme kartongen har jeg festet over med et stempel fra Norsk Stempelblad som jeg embosset i hvitt og limte over.
*I simply die cut the pattern in a gorgeous brown Bazzill cardstock and adhered it over a white base. I adhered the same cardstock with a stamp from Norsk Stempelblad that I embossed in white.*

Jeg skulle veldig gjerne ha gjort mer utav dette, men tiden strekker dessverre ikke til alt man skulle ønske og så er det jo tanken som teller. Og for en gangs skyld fikk jeg sendt det i tide, så hun vet at jeg faktisk hadde tenkt tanken! *lol*
*I would love to have done more out of this, but unfortunately the time doesn't always allow for me to do all I want to and besides it's the thought that counts. And for once I managed to send it in time, so she'll know that I actually thought the thought! *lol*

Kjappiskort

Jeg er fortsatt opptatt med ting som ikke kan publiseres enda, men i går skulle minstemann i sin aller første barnebursdag og jeg hadde ingenting i lageret som kunne passe til en gutt på fire år, så da ble det et skikkelig kjappiskort med rester jeg hadde liggende på pulten.
*I'm still busy with things I can't publish yet, but yesterday junior was going to his very first birthday party and I didn't have anything in my stash suitable for a four year old boy, so I had to do a super quickie with scraps I had on my desk.*

Restene er av Bazzill kartong, ark og dotter fra Papirdesign og litt Divine Twine i Blueberry. Stort enklere kan det ikke bli. Kartongen er egentlig mørkeblå, men uten skikkelig lys med mobilkamera ser det ikke akkurat sånn ut.
*The scraps are from Bazzill cardstock, paper and dots from Papirdesign and a little Divine Twine Blueberry. Doesn't get much easier than that. The cardstock is actually dark blue, but without proper lighting and with my cell camera it doesn't exactely look like it.*

Sjokoklemkort

Det har vært et par tøffe uker med et brått, men ikke uventet dødsfall i nær familie. Selv om jeg har hatt litt scrappeabstinenser de siste dagene, merket jeg likevel at mojo'en satt litt langt inne når jeg endelig fikk muligheten til å sitte litt på lekerommet i dag. Da var det greit å varme litt opp med å gjøre ferdig et prosjekt jeg har hatt liggende ganske lenge.
*It's been a rough couple of weeks with a sudden, but not unexpected death in near family. Even though I've had a little scrapping withdrawal the last few days I still noticed that the mojo wasn't all there when I finally got the chance to sit in my playroom today. So a little warm up with finishing a project I've had around for quite some time now was just fine.*

Jeg har laget min egen variant av et Sjokoklem-kort. Dekoren er nok sterkt inspirert av sjokoladekortene jeg lagde før jul. Et enkelt tekststempel fra North Star Stamps, stanset ut med Spellbinders Labels Fourteen og noen snøfnugg fra en MS punch. Snøfnuggene har jeg satt Stickles Frosted Lace på, og rundt teksten har jeg brukt Liquid Pearls Platinum og et par Storyteller perler i hjørnene.
*I've made my own version of a "Chocolate hug card" (the chocolate bisquits inside are called "Chocolate Hug".) The decor is strongly influenced by the chocolate cards I made before christmas. A simple sentiment stamp from North Star Stamps, die cut with Spellbinders Labels Fourteen and a couple of snowflakes from an MS punch. The snowflakes are covered with Stickles Frosted Lace and around the sentiment I've used Liquid Pearls Platinum and a couple of Storyteller pearls in the corners.*

Innsiden er like enkel. Jeg syns Maja arkene er så lekre i seg selv, så jeg følte ikke behov for å dekke dem til med mer pynt. "Vinduene" til kjeksene er stanset ut med Spellbinders sirkel og scallop sirkel dies og pyntet med Liquid Pearls. Plass til å skrive en hilsen må man ha og jeg har brukt Labels Fourteen her også.
*The inside is just as simple. I think the Maja papers are so gorgeous in them selves so I didn't feel the need to cover them up with more embellishments. The "windows" for the bisquits are die cut with Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies and decorated with Liquid Pearls. There has to be room for a personal greeting and I've used Labels Fourteen here too.*

Kjeksene ligger i en skuff som kan skyves ut for å få tak i godsakene. Forhåpentligvis vil det falle i smak hos en mottaker etterhvert. :)
*The biscuits are in a drawer that pulls out to get the goodies. Hopefully this will be tasteful for some recipient at some point. :) *

Lovely Sunday

Uka forsvant rimelig fort for meg og som for de fleste andre nordmenn passerte valentinsdagen som en helt vanlig dag for meg og min kjære, men jeg er fortsatt i det romantiske hjørnet.
*The week disappeared quickly for me and as for most Norwegians Valentine's passed as any other day for me and my darling, but I'm still in the romantic corner.*

Jeg kunne ikke motstå fristelsen til å legge litt farge på denne søte amorinen som er et digistempel fra Phindy's Place og heter Cupid Cutie. Fargeleggingen er selvfølgelig gjort med mine trofaste Pro- og FlexMarkers. Rundt kanten har jeg stemplet hjerter fra Papertrey Ink med Memento Rhubarb Stalk, både første, andre og tredje generasjonsstempling. Teksten er fra et Bentley Bear stempelsett som fulgte med et blad jeg kjøpte en gang for lenge siden.
*I couldn't resist the temptation of coloring up this adorable cupid which is a digi from Phindy's Place called Cupid Cutie. The coloring of course done with my trusted Pro- and FlexMarkers. Around the edge I've stamped hearts from Papertrey Ink in Memento Rhubarb Stalk, first, second and third generation stamping. The sentiment is from a Bentley Bear stamp set that came with a magazine I bought a long time ago.*

Kortet er ganske enkelt med papirer fra Kaisercraft English Rose-kolleksjonen. På panelet i midten har jeg brukt en kantpunch fra EK Success. Kantene er svertet med Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. Ellers har jeg bare pyntet med noen roser fra Wild Orchid Crafts og en løs tag bak motivet, utstanset med en Magnolia die og dekorert med en sløyfe i Cameo Beige seambinding fra Wild Orchid Crafts. Enkelt og greit og nå fortsetter min kreative, deilige søndag. :)
*The card is fairly simple with papers from the Kaisercraft English Rose collection. On the mid panel I've used an edge punch from EK Success. The edges are inked with Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. Other than that I've only decorated with a few roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a removable tag behind the image, die cut with a Magnolia die and decorated with a bow in Cameo Beige seambinding from Wild Orchid Crafts. Nice and easy and now I'll continue my creative lovely Sunday. :) *

Sjokoladekort igjen

Jeg lagde tre sjokoladekort i morgentimene før julemessa, men jeg glemte å ta bilde av dem før jeg hastet avgårde, så to av dem rakk å bli solgt før jeg fikk sukk for meg. Dette var det siste som var igjen og jeg måtte bare skynde meg å knipse mobilbilder av dette før det også ble solgt, derav den dårlige kvaliteten på bildet.
*I made three chocolate cards in the morning hours before the christmas charity fair, but I forgot to take pictures before I hurried away, so two of them was sold before I even drew a breath. This was the last one left and I just had to hurry to snap some mobile photos before this one sold too, hends the poor photo quality.*

Arket jeg har brukt på dette tror jeg er fra Papirdesign, men jeg er ikke helt sikker, det gikk litt fort i svingene mens jeg holdt på. Ingen store krumspring med dekoren på dette heller. Som vanlig stempel fra Norsk stempelblad, stanset ut med Sizzix die og pyntet med snøfnugg fra MS punch.
*I believe the paper I've used on this one is from Papirdesign, but I'm not sure, things were going quite fast while I was at it. No major surprises with the decor on this one either. As usual sentiment stamp from Norsk Stempelblad, die cut with a Sizzix die and decorated with snowflakes from an MS punch.*

På innsiden har jeg brukt baksiden av englearket på lommekanten, og en MS kantpunch, i tillegg til en jumbo sjokoladeplate, selvfølgelig.
*Inside I've used the back of the angel paper on the pocket fold and an MS edge punch, in addition to a jumbo chocolate bar, of course.*

Etter at jeg hadde nådd mitt opprinnelige mål på 10 sjokoladekort til julemessa, fikk jeg ønske om 10 til, så det var bare å kjøre på. Fortsatt dypdykk i papirbunkene etter egnede ark og jeg aner virkelig ikke hvor dette arket kommer fra.
*After I made my original goal of ten chocolate cards for the christmas charity fair, I got a request for ten more, so I just had to keep going. Still diving deep in my paper piles for usable papers and I have no clue where this paper is from.*

Dekoren begynner å bli ganske kjent for de som har fulgt med her i det siste, men jeg tror likevel jeg har klart å variere de fleste kortene littegrann. Tekststemplene fra Norsk Stempelblad, stanset ut med Sizzix die er ingen nyhet, men her har jeg brukt julestjerner fra en Magnolia die og grener fra en MS punch.
*The decor should be known for those who has been following me lately, but I still think I've managed to vary most of the cards a little bit. The sentiment stamps from Norsk Stempelblad die cut with a Sizzix die is no news, but on this card I've used poinsettias from a Magnolia die and branches from an MS punch.*

Innsiden er heller ikke ukjent. Enkelt og greit med bruk av MS punch på kanten.

Finally I’m back online! Got a bit of Internet issues here, but it’s all sorted out now, I hope!

The days have just vanished as I’ve been busy prepping the family for school and everyday life after a summer that seemed to last forever. And now it’s Thursday again. Not just any ol’ Thursday, it’s my oldest daughters first day of 5^th grade in a new school, so it’s been really exciting both for her and me. Mostly me, I think. *S*

Now for the challenge, and I have to say that I’m really looking forward to this, as we’re doing more than one fold this week. It’s been far too long since I’ve done anything but a regular card, so I set out to find something new and exciting for me. 

Marianne has some awesome creations on her blog, so I really just had to take a pick and landed on this fabulous gatefold-with-a-twist kinda creation.

 

The large tag with the image on keeps the card closed. Unfortunately she didn’t have any tutorial or links to templates, so I had to think twice before I understood how it was done. But it really wasn’t that hard. It’s made out from a 12x12” cardstock, scored at 3” on all sides. Get it? Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on this, and I’ll see what I can do. ;-)

 

I really liked the look on this folded card, and I loved it even more when I got to combine it with some of my favorites at the moment, Maja Design papers and Saturated Canary digi stamps. The gorgeous paper are from the “Ska vi ta en Fika”collection. I'm purple passionate and I just love the colours on these papers, totally yummy! The Fika-collection is by no means new, but for some reason I never got around to buying them. But now, with my Maja-madness and purple passion I just had to have them and they came just last week. (And I do believe I need another refill pretty soon! *S*)

 

 

And the sweet Canary is called “Thank You”. Thanks to Krista for supplying the DT with these cuties! As always colored in with my ProMarkers.  Unfortunately I forgot to write down the colours this time. I think I used pretty much every purple/violet colour I own. *S* I’ve also used an edge stamp on this one. I’m not sure where it’s from.

Other materials I’ve used are: Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort og Godt, PaP-punches from Martha Stewart, ribbon and pearl from my stash, Distress Ink Walnut Stain and Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown.

DT Charisma - Shaped cards

Whoa, it's been a while since my last posting, sorry 'bout that. Sometimes life just gets in the way, but I'm still hoping things will start looking up soon.

Aaaaanywhoo, it's Thursday and Charisma time again. This time we're looking for shaped cards. Now I'm not big on shapes, but I've found that round cards is fine by me, so here's my card for today's challenge:

I've used Spellbinders dies for the shape, which means the card is about 4 3/4 inches. The papers are from a gorgeous new paper pad from BoBunny, I just fell in love with it right away. And the image is from one of our sponsors, Time for Tea designs, called "Chin up Buttercup". Coloured in, as always, with my ProMarkers.

Co-op project

Min datter skulle i 10-års dag til bestevenninnen i dag, så da måtte vi jo lage et spesielt kort. Hun skulle egentlig gjort det helt selv, men det skjer jo alltid noe annet, så tiden strekker ikke til. Da måtte mamma trå til. Litt samarbeid ble det likevel, hun fikk lime noen av panelene og pynten. Så har hun bestemt hvilke ark og farger som skulle brukes. Og ideen har hun selvfølgelig godkjent på forhånd, selv om mamma kom med forslag. Resultatet ble dette:

 *My daughter was going to her best friend's 10th birthday party today so we had to make her a special card. She was supposed to do it all by herself , but something always comes up, so there wasn't enough time. So mom had to step up. It was still a bit of cooperation, she got to glue some of the panels and embellishments. And she decided which papers and colours to use. And the idea was of course approved even though mom had some suggestions. The result was this:*

Vi brukte skissen fra Sketchy Colors. Papirene er alle fra Magnolia. Teksten er fra Papirloftet. Rundt motivet har jeg stemplet med et stempel fra Kort og Godt med Memento London Fog. Snøfnuggene er en Sizzix die og en MS punch. De har fått på seg Stickles Icicle. Kanten under motivet er punchet med en MS punch og bånd og bling er fra lageret mitt. *We used the sketch from Sketchy Colors. The papers are all Magnolia. The sentiment from Papirloftet. Around the image I've stamped with a stamp from Kort og Godt in Memento London Fog. The snowflakes are Sizzix die and MS punch. They've got a layer of Stickles Icicle. The edge below the image is punched with an MS edge punch and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.

Motivet er fra Maddie fra Saturated Canary. En liten søtnos, men et mareritt å fargelegge! Men jeg har gjort så godt jeg kunne på uhyre kort tid med mine ProMarkers. Her er fargene jeg har brukt: *The image is Maddie from Saturated Canary. A little cutie, but a nightmare to colour! But I've done the best I could in the short amount of time I had with my ProMarkers. These are the colours I've used:*

Hud/Skin: Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Ivory

Hår/Hair: Sandstone, Mustard, Pastel Yellow, Buttercup (Dusky Pink i kinn)

Øyne/Eyes: Duck Egg, Cool Aqua

Lepper/Lips: Rose Pink, Blossom

Rosa/Pink: Rose Pink, Pink Carnation, Blossom

Turkis/Turquoise: Turquoise, Duck Egg, Cool Aqua, Soft Aqua (FlexMarker)

Grått/Grey: Ice Gray 1, 3 og 4

CAS Christmas card

Her er det siste av kortene jeg lagde på besøk hos Yasmine.

 

En enkel stripe av det rålekre papiret jeg fant blant restene hennes, som vi ikke kjenner opphavet til, snøkrystall stanset ut med Spellbinders i folie og hvit kartong, en liten bling og en tekst fra Norsk Stempelblad. Stort enklere blir det ikke. :-)

 

*Here's the last of the cards I made visiting Yasmine. A simple strip of the gorgeous paper I found in her scraps that we don't know the origin of, snowflake die cut with Spellbinders in foil and white cardstock, a little bling and a sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad. Doesn't get much easier than that. :-)*
