Nok et kjappiskort

Mojo'en sitter utrolig langt inne om dagen, særlig til guttekort som jeg vanligvis er veldig fortrolig med. Og nå måtte jeg snekre et kort til min svoger som fylte år på selveste Halloween. De feiret ikke på dagen, så jeg fikk heldigvis litt ekstra tid på meg, men som president i prokrastineringsklubben hjalp det ikke så mye. Det ble fortsatt et kjapt og enkelt kort i siste liten.
*The mojo is far away these days, especially for masculine cards that I'm usually very comfortable with. And now I had to whip up a card for my brother-in-law who had his birthday on Halloween. They didn't celebrate on that day so I fortunately got some extra time, but as president of the procrastination club it didn't help a lot. It was still a quick and easy card made at the last minute.*

Så sent, faktisk, at jeg glemte å ta bilde før jeg dro i selskap. Så her er et mobilbilde tatt i all hast. Jeg har brukt et av mine favoritt chevron ark fra Fancy Pants, sammen med helt enkel kraft og blå Bazzill. Tanken var at pakken skulle pakkes inn i blått papir, men det fant jeg selvfølgelig ikke, så da ble det svart i stedet. Teksten fra Norsk Stempelblad er embosset i hvitt på kraft kartong. Og pynten er ikke annet enn noen stilige trestjerner fra Studio Calico. Enkelt og greit!

*So late acutally that I forgot to take a picture before I left for the party. So here's a mobile phone pic taken in a hurry. I've used one of my favorite chevron papers from Fancy Pants with simple kraft and blue Bazzill cardstock. The idea was to wrap the present in blue paper, but of course I couldn't find the blue wrapping paper, so I went for black instead. The sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad is embossed in white on kraft cardstock. And the decor is nothing else than some cool wooden stars from Studio Calico. Nice and easy!

Happy cardmaking day!!

I dag er verdens kortlagerdag, så ta turen innom din nærmeste lekeplass og lag et kort!!

Det har ikke blitt mange sjokoladekort etter maratonløpet jeg hadde før jul i fjor, men når min tenåringsniese spør pent om ikke jeg kan lage et til hennes venninne, så kan jeg jo ikke si nei. Dessuten er det litt mer gøy å lage disse uten juletema. Jeg har skrevet en artikkel om dette for Team Scrapping, som du kan lese her.

*I haven't made many chocolate cards since the marathon I had before christmas last year, but when my teenage niece asks nicely if I can make one for her friend I can't say no. Also it a bit more fun to make these without xmas theme. I've written an article about this for Team Scrapping that can be read here.*

Kortet skulle være rosa, så jeg har brukt ark fra Magnolia, matchet med grå bazzill. En herlig fargekombo, syns jeg.

Malen jeg bruker til denne typen kort er i utgangspunktet Marianne Skjelstad sin idé, men jeg har tilpasset målene både i bredde og tykkelse, til å passe en 200 g. sjokoladeplate.

Sjokoladekort i farta

Plutselig dukket det opp en bursdag jeg ikke hadde tenkt på og da hadde jeg en knapp time på meg til å finne på noe lurt. "Sjokoladekort", sa min søster. "Så lurt", tenkte jeg. Men når jeg begynte å lage det husket jeg plutselig hvorfor det er så lenge siden jeg har laget det. Jeg er jo SÅ lei sjokoladekort etter maraton-scrappingen før jul. Men jeg klarte da å svinge sammen noe på den lille timen jeg hadde.
*A birthday I hadn't thought about suddenly appeared and I then had a short hour to come up with something clever. "Chocolate card" my sister said. "How clever" I thought. But when I started making it I remembered why it's been so long since I've made one. I'm SO tired of them after the marathon scrapping before xmas. But I managed to whip up something in the short hour I had.*

Jeg har brukt ark fra Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics, som jeg syns passer perfekt til voksne menn. Og dette kortet skulle til en mann som fylte 80 år, så det må man vel kunne kalle voksen.
*I've used papers from Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basicx which I think fits perfectly for grown men. And this card was for a man who turned 80 so I guess we could call him grown.*

Teksten er fra Norsk Stempelblad. Et sett jeg liker utrolig godt, men får brukt altfor lite. En helt enkel dekor med barkstjerner fra Prima og små blomster med bling fra Storyteller.
*The sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad. A set I really like, but doesn't get to use nearly enough. Quite simple decor with bark stars from Prima and tiny flowers with bling from Storyteller.*

Innsiden er like enkel som den alltid pleier å være med punchet kant (MS Cherish) og samme die cut som på forsiden (Sizzix Bigz Styled Lables).

*The inside is just as simple as it always is with a punched edge (MS Cherish) og the same diecut as the front (Sizzix Bigz Styled Lables).*

Baksiden er helt enkel, med et standard personlig stempel. Jeg hadde rett og slett ikke tid til å tenke på hva jeg skulle ha plassert inni mitt vanlige Rox personlige stempel, så da ble det den enkle løsningen.
*The backside is really simple with a standard personal stamp. I simply didn't have time to think about what to place inside the regular Rox personal stamp, so I went for the easy solution.*

På tide å poste den siste kreasjonen min fra Scrapp med Hjertet-treffet. Enda så produktiv jeg var , så var det bare to av kortene som ble "ordentlig" Clean and Simple, og dette er ett av dem.

*Time to post my last creation from the Scrapp Med Hjertet crop. Even though I was really productive only two of the cards were "proper" Clean and Simple, and this is one of them.*

Et helt enkelt bakgrunnsark fra FancyPants har fått et belte med tekst fra Norsk Stempelblad og en egenlaget blomst av hamptråd. Enkelt og greit. Tok litt tid og massevis av lim med blomsten, men den ble ganske kul, syns jeg.

*A simple background paper from Fancy Pants got a belt with sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad and a homemade flower from hemp cord. Nice and simple. Took a bit of time and tons of glue with the flower but it turned out pretty cool I think.*

Bursdagskort med Maja Design

Jeg er på påske"ferie" og lengter hjem til scrapperommet mitt. Men jeg har da litt å vise frem, selv om jeg ikke er hjemme. Her er et bursdagskort fra Scrapp med hjertet-treffet i mars.

Jeg hadde ikke med meg så mye annet enn Maja Design ark, men det gjør da vel ingenting når de er så fantastiske som de er? Altered påskeegg

Våren og påsken nærmer seg og da må man jo ha påskeegg! Jeg syns det er utrolig gøy å dekorere påskeegg, men jeg gjør det altfor lite. Det blir vel ett egg i året og dette er årets:
*Spring and easter is coming soon and that calls for easter eggs! I think it's great fun to decorate easter eggs, but I don't do it often. I guess it's an egg a year and this is the annual egg: *

Jeg har brukt et knall oransjefarget egg fra Nille som jeg først malte med gesso, så kledte med tissue paper fra Tim Holtz og malt over igjen med uttynnet hvit akrylmaling. Så er det bare å lesse på med blomster, fjær, sløyfe, perler og blonder. Enkelt og dekorativt!
*I've used a bright orange egg from Nille that I painted with gesso, covered with tissue paper from Tim Holtz and repainted with watered out white acrylic paint. Then I went wild with flowers, feathers, bow, pearls and lace. Simple and decorative!*

Gratulerer med dagen, kjære!

Jeg har enda ikke landet etter en fantastisk og produktiv helg på Scrapp Med Hjertet i Tromsø, men min kjære, snille og støttende mann har bursdag i dag og fikk naturlig nok et resultat fra treff-produksjonen og det må blogges umiddelbart, i følge ham selv. *lol*
*I still haven't landed after a fabulous and productive weekend at the Scrapp Med Hjertet crop in Troms, but my dear, sweet and supportive husband has his birthday today and naturally got a result from the crop production, and it has to be blogged immediately according to himself. *lol*

Dette var det første jeg lagde på treffet, etter en treg oppstart, men jeg tror han ble fornøyd. Arkene er fra Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics kolleksjonen, ellers er det mye messeshopping her. Tekststempelet er fra et stempelsett fra Norsk Stempelblad, stanset ut med Spellbinders labels ten, svertet med Distress Ink Vintage Photo i den nye 1x1-varianten som jeg kjøpte i et sett på treffet. Den store blomsten er fra Prima, kjøpt på treffet og det samme er de søte trestjernene fra Wycinanka. Ostekluten og halvperlene fra Papirdesign var med meg hjemmefra. Det var også de andre blomstene fra WOC, som jeg har svertet med Distress Ink Walnut Stain (også fra 1x1 settet).
*This was the first I made at the crop after a slow start, but I think he was happy. The papers are from Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics collection, other than that there's a lot of crop shopping here. The sentiment are from a set from Norsk Stempelblad, die cut with Spellbinders labels ten, inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo in the new 1x1 inch set that I bought at the crop. The large flower is from Prima, bought at the crop and so are the cute wooden stars from Wycinanka. The cheesecloth and pearls from Papirdesign came with me from home. So did the flowers from WOC that I inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain (also from the 1x1 set). *

Det ble en enkel innside også med de dekorative arkene fra Maja Design. Jeg skulle ha et større tekststempel på den øverste siden, men det lå igjen hjemme, så det får komme på senere. På den nederste siden skrev jeg en personlig hilsen rett på arket.
*Simple insides with the decorative papers from Maja Design. I was supposed to have a large text stamp on the top side, but that was left at home so it'll have to come later. On the bottom page I wrote a personal greeting direct on the paper.*

Og har man laget innsider må man jo også gjøre noe av baksiden. Ikke det at min kjære skulle glemme hvor kortet kom fra, men det personlige stempelet mitt fra Rox Stamps har den kule egenskapen at det er plass til et annet stempel inni. Her ble det et lite tekststempel fra ett Kort og Godt-sett.
*And if you've made insides you'll have to make something out of the backside too. Not that my darling would forget where the card came from but my personal stamp from Rox Stamps has the awesome property of fitting another stamp inside. Here I've used a small sentiment from a Kort og Godt stamp set.*

Sjokoklemkort

Det har vært et par tøffe uker med et brått, men ikke uventet dødsfall i nær familie. Selv om jeg har hatt litt scrappeabstinenser de siste dagene, merket jeg likevel at mojo'en satt litt langt inne når jeg endelig fikk muligheten til å sitte litt på lekerommet i dag. Da var det greit å varme litt opp med å gjøre ferdig et prosjekt jeg har hatt liggende ganske lenge.
*It's been a rough couple of weeks with a sudden, but not unexpected death in near family. Even though I've had a little scrapping withdrawal the last few days I still noticed that the mojo wasn't all there when I finally got the chance to sit in my playroom today. So a little warm up with finishing a project I've had around for quite some time now was just fine.*

Jeg har laget min egen variant av et Sjokoklem-kort. Dekoren er nok sterkt inspirert av sjokoladekortene jeg lagde før jul. Et enkelt tekststempel fra North Star Stamps, stanset ut med Spellbinders Labels Fourteen og noen snøfnugg fra en MS punch. Snøfnuggene har jeg satt Stickles Frosted Lace på, og rundt teksten har jeg brukt Liquid Pearls Platinum og et par Storyteller perler i hjørnene.
*I've made my own version of a "Chocolate hug card" (the chocolate bisquits inside are called "Chocolate Hug".) The decor is strongly influenced by the chocolate cards I made before christmas. A simple sentiment stamp from North Star Stamps, die cut with Spellbinders Labels Fourteen and a couple of snowflakes from an MS punch. The snowflakes are covered with Stickles Frosted Lace and around the sentiment I've used Liquid Pearls Platinum and a couple of Storyteller pearls in the corners.*

Innsiden er like enkel. Jeg syns Maja arkene er så lekre i seg selv, så jeg følte ikke behov for å dekke dem til med mer pynt. "Vinduene" til kjeksene er stanset ut med Spellbinders sirkel og scallop sirkel dies og pyntet med Liquid Pearls. Plass til å skrive en hilsen må man ha og jeg har brukt Labels Fourteen her også.
*The inside is just as simple. I think the Maja papers are so gorgeous in them selves so I didn't feel the need to cover them up with more embellishments. The "windows" for the bisquits are die cut with Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies and decorated with Liquid Pearls. There has to be room for a personal greeting and I've used Labels Fourteen here too.*

Kjeksene ligger i en skuff som kan skyves ut for å få tak i godsakene. Forhåpentligvis vil det falle i smak hos en mottaker etterhvert. :)
*The biscuits are in a drawer that pulls out to get the goodies. Hopefully this will be tasteful for some recipient at some point. :) *

I haven't used many stamps at all, digis or other. Just the pennant stamp from Panduro. I filled it in with my son's name. My little man turned four a couple of days ago and this was the card he got.

The papers are really old ones from Melissa Frances that I've teamed up with white and kraft Bazzill cardstock. The edges are slightly inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and I added some faux stitching with a Zig marker. I painted the chipboard number with gesso and acrylic paint and overheated it on pupose, to get a little more texture to it. I also inked it a little bit with Walnut Stain.

A birthday card

Jeg lagde et kort i dag! Og etter den uka jeg har hatt er det en liten bragd. Men ting ser lysere ut nå, får bare håpe det varer.
Svigermor bestilte et kort til en venninne som blir 40 år snart. Jeg dro frem noen skikkelig gamle ark fra Webster's og slik ble det.
*I made a card today! And after this week I've had it's a bit of an accomplishment. But things are looking brighter now, I just hope it lasts.
My mother-in-law ordered a card for a friend that turns 40 soon. I dug out some really old papers from Webster's and this is how it turned out.*

Kanten på 12x12 arket var litt rosa, men når jeg skjærte det opp, syns jeg at jeg måtte ha litt rosa på de andre kantene også, så jeg blandet litt rød og hvit akrylmaling og gikk forsiktig over de to kantene som ikke hadde rosa på seg. Og siden jeg har litt Gesso-dilla for tiden, børstet jeg litt her og der og stemplet bakgrunnen med et script-stempel fra Panduro.
De brune stripene er rester av et ark fra FabScraps, som også fikk en omgang med malepenselen og gesso.
Sommerfuglene er en MS punch, tallene er stanset ut med Winter Wishes fra Lifestyle Crafts og teksten er fra Papirloftet.
*The edge on the 12x12 paper was a little pink distressed, but when I cut it I thought I had to have some pink on the other edges too, so I mixed some red and white acrylic paint and went carefully over the edges that wasn't pink. And since I'm a little hooked on Gesso these days I brushed some here and there and stamped the background with a script stamp from Panduro.
The brown strips are scraps from a dp from FabScraps which also got a round with the paint brush and gesso.
The butterflies are an MS punch, the numbers are die cut with Winter Wishes from Lifestyle Crafts and the sentiment is from Papirloftet.*

Mojo Monday

I was actually on my way to bed when I realized I almost missed the deadline on the Mojo Monday contest, and I love Mojo Monday sketches and Verve Stamps, so I couldn't let that happen. I got upstairs and whipped up this card real quick.

 

I grabbed the first piece of leftover paper that was on my desk, and that was the dark turquoise one from Kaisercraft Utopia Collection. Got a couple of other pieces from the same paper pad, stamped up and die cut the most wonderful sentiment I know of (from Verve of course) and inked the edges slightly with Distress Ink Dusty Concord. Since there are tons of challenges related to love, hearts and/or Valentine's around these days, I thought I'd catch a few of them too, so I punched out two little purple hearts that are peeking out from underneath the bow. And there you have it, a card for a loved one.

Kickin' off 2013

Endelig kom jeg i gang i 2013! Mojo'en satt utrolig langt inne etter en lang og delvis ufrivillig juleferie, men nå begynte tidsfristene å snike seg opp på meg, så jeg var bare nødt til å tvinge frem noe.

De siste dagene har jeg vært med på Natalie Kalbachs Creative Jump Start Summit 2013. Daglig inspirasjon med mange ulike aktører med hver sine tilnærminger til oppgaven. Utrolig gøy og se på og jeg har fått massevis av ideer, så i går (natt) fikk jeg endelig prøvd ut noen av teknikkene og ideene. Skjønt det ferdige produktet her, har ingenting med CJS å gjøre! *lol* Men det var vel litt av poenget. Vi trenger litt starthjelp av og til og jeg fikk varmet opp med noen uferdige og ett ferdig prosjekt (som kommer i morgen), før jeg fikk til det prosjektet som jeg virkelig likte å lage, og det var dette. Enkelt, stilrent, med en liten splæsj av farge - akkurat sånn jeg liker det! :-)

 

Fargesplæsj'en er Glimmermist Sweet Pea som jeg blåste ut på kartongen med sugerør (!!).

Øvrige materialer er: Hvit og svart kartong, (Bazzill og Europris), Spellbinders sirkel dies, svarte roser fra WOC, en trådbit og en chipboard bit fra resteboksen min og et tekststempel fra Kort og Godt.

*Finally I got started in 2013! My mojo was really deep down after a long and somewhat unvoluntary christmas break, but the deadlines were starting to sneak up on me, so I just had to force something out now.

The past few days I've been tagging along for Natalie Kalbach's Creative Jump Start Summit 2013. Daily inspiration with lots of different contributors each with a different approach on the task. Lots of fun to watch and I've got several ideas, so yesterday (last night) I finally got to try out a few of the techniques and ideas. Although the finished project here doesn't have anything to do with the CJS! *lol* But I guess that was some of the point. We all need jump starting some time and I got to warm up with some unfinished project and a finished project (coming tomorrow) before I got to the project that I really liked making and this was it. Clean and Simple, with a splash of colour - just the way I like it! :-)

The colour splash is Glimmermist Sweet Pea that I blew out on cardstock with a straw (!!). Other materials are: Black and white cardstock (Bazzill and Europris), Spellbinders Circle dies, black roses from WOC, a piece of string and a chipboard piece from my scrap stash and a sentiment from Kort og Godt.

Mojo for the boys

To innlegg på en dag skjer ikke ofte i denne bloggen! Men sånn blir det når det er så mange herlige utfordringer! Dette kortet er laget etter samme skissen som det forrige kortet mitt, men denne gangen i en maskulin variant. *Two postings in one day doesn't happen often in this blog! But that's what happens when there are so many wonderful challenges! This card is made from the same sketch as my previous card, but this time it's a more masculine take on it.*

Også her har jeg brukt et av de herlige stemplene fra WMS settet "Holiday labels" (kan du forstå at disse rammene er ment for jula!?) Dekoren er enkelt og greit et stempel fra Tim Holtz, satt sammen med noen sirkler klippet ut fra mønsterarket (WeRMemorykeepers), en gam1mel rest jeg hadde liggende. Knapper og twine er et must på guttekort, syns jeg, så det måtte med her også.

Minimalistisk

Ut på tur med kofferten full av verktøy og stæsj. Ikke helt etter planen, men sånn måtte det bli ettersom jeg ikke rakk å gjøre kortet ferdig før jeg dro. Så med et minimum av utstyr med meg, måtte jeg altså sette meg ned å lage dette kortet. *Travelling with the suitcase full of tools and stuff. Not excactely according to plan, but that's how it had to be since I didn't have time to finish the card before I left. So with a minimum of equipment I had to sit down and make this card.*

En veldig enkel forside, men knapper og twine må man ha på et guttekort, syns jeg. Diecut'en er klippet ut for hånd etter å ha tegnet rundt en Spellbinders die og tallene er farget med Promarkers. *A very simple front, but buttons and twine are a must on a boys card I think. The diecut is cut by hand after tracing a Spellbinders die and the numbers are colored with Promarkers.*

Jeg hadde bestemt meg for å lage et tagkort, men jeg har aldri gjort det før, så det ble litt prøving og feiling, likevel var det mye enklere enn jeg hadde trodd, så det blir nok ikke siste gang jeg lager denne varianten. Innsiden ble veldig mye enklere enn jeg hadde tenkt, men jeg hadde rett og slett ikke med meg noe jeg syns ville passe til å dekorere innsiden med. *I had already decided to make a tag card, but I've never done it before so it was a bit of trial and error, still it was much easier than I thought, so it propably won't be the last time I make this kind of card. The innsides turned out much simpler than I originally thought, but I didn't bring anything that I thought was suitable for decorating the innsides.*

Tagene er alle svertet og  stemplet med kantstempel og har fått noen gode sitater på. Jeg har ikke lagt ut bilder av de andre tagene, da de er av litt mer personlig karakter. *All the tags are inked and stamped with an edge stamp and got a good quote on them. I haven'd published any pictures of the rest of the tags because they are a bit  more personal.*

Nok et dåpskort

Her kommer "bonuskortet" fra min nattlige produksjon natt til mandag. *Here comes the "bonus card" from my nightly production sunday night.*

Siden mesteparten av kvelden gikk med til å lage det andre brettekortet, og jeg egentlig skulle ha laget to kort til, ble det noe veldig enkelt. Et Magnolia ark, en punchet kant, en sommerfugl og en tekst. *Since I spent most of the night making the other folding card and I was supposed to make two more cards, this one was really simple. A Magnolia paper, a punched edge, a butterfly and a sentiment.*

Jeg hadde egentlig ikke planer om å pynte innsidene, siden jeg hadde ekstremt dårlig tid, men i et svakt øyeblikk bestemte jeg meg for å trykke en tekst direkte på innsiden. Det ble total fiasko, så da hadde jeg ikke annet valg enn å dekke over feilen. Ikke mitt beste arbeid, men hvor mye kan man forvente klokken to om natten? *lol* *I wasn't planning on decorating the insides since I was extremely short on time, but in a weak moment I decided to stamp a text directely on the inside. That was a complete faliure so I had no other choice but to cover up the mistake. Not my best work, but what can you expect at 2 am? *lol*

I get by with a little help from my friends

Som så mange andre, har jeg lett over hele verdensveven etter Martha Stewarts Scandinavian Snowflake Punch, uten hell så langt. En forumvenninne på kortscrapping.no trodde hun hadde sett den i den lokale hobbybutikken, så jeg hadde en stund et lite håp, men det viste seg å være feil. Jeg hadde egentlig ikke forventet noe annet, men litt skuffet ble jeg selvfølgelig. Helt til jeg rett før helga fikk en konvolutt i posten med en hel haug med punchede Scandinavian Snowflakes! Tusen tusen takk, Silje, du er en engel!
Så etter en helg uten Internett og et par kvelder med å døyve Pinterest-abstinensene, har jeg endelig fått tatt i bruk de første snøfnuggene, og slik ble det:

Jeg har tydeligvis tatt til meg en del lærdom fra Clean and Simple-kurset, for det ble igjen maskering og akvarell-teknikk med Distress puter. Så har jeg endelig funnet nytte i Frosted Crystals embossingpulveret jeg kjøpte ved en feiltakelse. Alle snøfnuggene har fått et tykt lag med dette, noe som ga en fin finish, men som dessverre var helt umulig (med mine begrensede fotokunnskaper) å fange på film. Jeg har også fått brukt et nytt stempel som egentlig er fra en babyplate, men så lenge det bare står gratulerer, funker det jo fint til andre anledninger også. Og jeg liiiiker det, så det blir nok mye brukt fra nå av.

Like so many others, I've searched the entire World Wide Web for the Martha Stewart Scandinavian Snowflake Punch, with no luck so far. A friend on the forum kortscrapping.no thought she had seen it in her local craft shop, so for a while I got my hopes up, but it turned out to be wrong. I really didn't expect anything else, but was a bit disappointed of course. Until right before the weekend, when I got an envelope with a whole bunch of punched out Scandinavian Snowflakes! Thank you SO much, Silje, you're an angel!

So after a weekend with no Internet connection and a few nights to calm my Pinterest-withdrawals, I finally got to use the first snowflakes and this is how it turned out.

I obviously learnt something from the Clean and Simple-lessons, because I used masking and watercolor-technique with Distress inks again. And I've finally found use for the Frosted Crystal embossing powder I bought by mistake. All the snowflakes got a heavy layer of the embossing powder, which gave a lovely finish, but unfortunately it was impossible (with my limited photo abilities) to catch on camera. I also got to use a new stamp that is actually from a baby stamp set, but as long as it only says congratulations it works great for other occasions as well. And I liiiike it so it's gonna get used a lot from now on.

Scratching an itch

Jeg har tatt et skritt ut av CAS-modusen min for å få unna vei en ide (og en del utfordringer) som jeg har hatt i hodet en stund nå. Ok, dette regnes kanskje som CAS av noen, men for meg er det absolutt ikke det!

Når de første utfordringene i det nye året begynte å komme rundt i Bloglandia, innså jeg fort at jeg ikke var ferdig med babykort riktig enda (selv om jeg lagde en haug før jul). Ofte er det veldig praktisk når flere blogger kjører samme oppgave, men denne gangen var det nesten litt irriterende. Så her er bidraget mitt ut av verden, så jeg kan gå tilbake til det enkle igjen.

I've taken a step out of my CAS mode to get out of the way an idea (and some challenges) that's been on my mind for a while now. Ok, this might be concidered CAS by some people, but for me it's definately not!

When the first challenges of the new year started coming around Blogworld, I soon realized that I wasn't done with the baby cards just yet (even though I made a pile before christmas). Often it's quite convenient when several challenge blogs runs the same challenge, but this time it was almost a little annoying. So here's my contribution out of the world so I can go back to the simple things again.

Purple christmas

At jeg har lilladilla er ingen hemmelighet, så når scrapping.no annonserte "lilla jul" som tema i syvende runde i Kort-O-Mania, var ikke utfordringen for meg å lage julekortet lilla, men å begrense meg til bare èn ide! Resultatet ble et kort jeg tror kommer til å stå øverst på lista over mine egne favorittkort i år. Jeg ble fornøyd med resultatet, det var utrolig gøy å lage OG det er LILLA! Hva mer kan man forlange av et favorittkort!? *lol* 

Moroa mi skritt for skritt: Jeg begynte med å stanse ut store snøkrystaller med Sizzlits dies. Disse la jeg på hvit hobbykartong og sprayet over med Glimmermist. Det tok ganske mange forsøk for å få det som jeg ville, for Glimmermisten er veldig våt, og snøkrystallene ville ikke ligge stille lenge nok til at misten fikk tørke rundt dem. Men med litt hjelp av varmepistolen fikk jeg til slutt et brukbart resultat. Så stemplet jeg over noen snøkrystaller med Distress Ink Dusty Courdroy. Deretter noen flere snøkrystaller med embossing ink og embosset dem med lilla glitrende embossingpulver. Svampet kantene, monterte det hele på sølv(!!) kartong og toppet med lilla bling. Tekstplaten fikk en runde Glimmermist før jeg stemplet teksten i Dusty Courdroy og clear embosset denne. Så svampet jeg embossing ink rundt kanten og embosset med sølvpulver. En liten sløyfe med glitrende snøkrystall-brad og dett var dett!

My purple passion is no secret, so when Scrapping.no announced the theme "purple christmas" for the 7th round in Kort-O-Mania, the challenge for me wasn't to make the christmas card purple, but to limit the ideas to only one! The result is a card I think is gonna be on top of my own favourite cards this year. I was happy with the result, it was heaps of fun to make AND it's PURPLE! What else can you expect from a favourite card!? *lol*

My fun step by step: I started by diecutting some big snowflakes with Sizzlits dies. I put these on white cardstock and sprayed with Glimmermist. It took a few tries to get it the way I wanted, cuz the Glimmermist was really wet and the snowflakes wouldn't lie still long enough for the mist to dry around them. But with a little help from my heat gun I finally got a useful result. Then I stamped on some snowflakes with Distress Ink Dusty Courdroy. Then a few more snowflakes with embossing ink and heat embossed them with purple sparkly embossing powder. I spunged the edges, mounted it on silver(!!) cardstock and topped it off with purple bling. The sentiment panel got a round of Glimmermist before I stamped the sentiment in Dusty Courdroy and clear embossed it. Then I spunged embossing ink around the edge and heat embossed it in silver. A tiny bow with a sparkly snowflake-brad and that's that!
