DT Charisma - Diva

Thursday means Charisma time and this week we're asking for divas. YOU don't have to be a diva, just make something with a diva on it. ;-)

Circumstances would have it so that I didn't have nearly as much time on this card as I would like. It started with one idea that I realized I didn't have enough time for. Then another one, which after three failures I had to accept that it just wouldn't work. And so it had to be an easy solution.

I found this photo online and photoshopped the text in. Printed it and mounted on white cardstock and black base. Finally I thought it was too much space to the left, so I thought "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" and put on a strip of bling from Panduro.

Mojo Monday

I was actually on my way to bed when I realized I almost missed the deadline on the Mojo Monday contest, and I love Mojo Monday sketches and Verve Stamps, so I couldn't let that happen. I got upstairs and whipped up this card real quick.

 

I grabbed the first piece of leftover paper that was on my desk, and that was the dark turquoise one from Kaisercraft Utopia Collection. Got a couple of other pieces from the same paper pad, stamped up and die cut the most wonderful sentiment I know of (from Verve of course) and inked the edges slightly with Distress Ink Dusty Concord. Since there are tons of challenges related to love, hearts and/or Valentine's around these days, I thought I'd catch a few of them too, so I punched out two little purple hearts that are peeking out from underneath the bow. And there you have it, a card for a loved one.

Jeg har det så travelt om dagene at det blir fint lite tid igjen til blogging. Men nå har jeg innvilget meg selv en liten pause for å vise frem dette telyskortet jeg lagde tidligere. *I'm so busy these days that there's not much time left for blogging. But I've given myself a little break to share this tea light card that I made earlier.*

 

Jeg gjorde et lite dykk i restearkene mine for å lage disse telyskortene før julemessa. Dette arket er antakelig ett av de første mønsterarkene jeg noensinne kjøpte og jeg aner ikke hvor det kommer fra. Men jeg vet at teksten er fra Kreativ Hobby og de fleste blomstene fra WOC. *I did a little diving into my scrap papers to make these tea light cards before the christmas charity fair. This paper is propably one of the first papers I ever bought and I have no idea where it's from. But I know that the sentiment is from Kreativ Hobby and most of the flowers from WOC.*

Innsiden er som alltid fylt med telys, teposer og en dekorert fyrstikkeske. *The inside is as always filled with candles, tea bags and a decorated matchbox.*

Mitt nye Raggsocka-stempel fra ROX blir flittig brukt, her i en variant med et Hero Arts stempel inni. *My new personal Raggsocka-stamp from ROX is used a lot, here in a version with a Hero Arts stamp inside.*

En hektisk, men herlig påskeferie er over og hverdagen er tilbake for fullt. Tilbake i full jobb blir det naturlig nok mindre tid i den virtuelle verden for meg, men her kommer et kort jeg hurtigscrappet i påsken.
*A busy but wonderful easter break is over and life is back to normal. Back to fulltime work it's naturally less time left for the virtual world for me, but here's a card I "speed scrapped" this easter.*

Noe måtte jeg jo ha å gjøre i påsken, så jeg har hatt med meg ProMarkerne mine og en haug med digi-stempler å fargelegge. Sjokk, ja, jeg vet. Men et greit tidsfordriv. Og ganske gøy med beundrende tantebarn som tilskuere! *S* Jeg hadde også et oppdrag, nemlig å lage et kort til en liten gutt (med en stor hund) som fylte år ganske nylig. Da syns jeg det passet godt med dette motivet, Buds fra Mo Manning. Veldig uvant for meg å skulle dekorere et kort ut fra et motiv, men det ble vel ikke det verste jeg har produsert. *lol*

*I had to do something this easter, so I've had my ProMarkers with me and a pile of digi stamps to color. Shocker, yes I know. But an OK waste of time. And quite fun with admiring nieces as an audience! *S*

I also had a mission. To make a card for a little boy (with a big dog) that had his birthday recently. I thought this image, Buds from Mo Manning was appropriate for the occasion. It was unsusual for me to decorate a card around an image, but I guess it isn't the worst thing I've ever made. *lol**
