Endelig er den her! Den siste måneden i året, julemåneden! Det kan vel være at jula er mest for barna, men jeg har gledet meg til 1. desember leeeenge og jeg gleder meg som en unge til selveste julaften! I år har jeg jo også fått brukt masse tid på julescrappeprosjekter allerede og jeg er langt fra ferdig enda. Og jeg koser meg virkelig med julemusikk på høyttalerne og julepapirer mellom fingrene.

Og nå er det på tide med en ny utfordring hos ProMarker Norge. Du kan jo gjette hva det er, men for å være sikker må du kikke inn i bloggen. ;-)

*It's finally here! The last month of the year, the christmas month! The christmas might be mostly for the kids, but I've been looking forward to December for a looooong time and I'm anticipating christmas eve just as much as a kid! This year I've got to spend a lot of time on christmas crafting already and I'm far from finished yet. And I'm enjoying myself so much with christmas music on the speakers and christmas papers in my hands.
And now it's time for another challenge at ProMarker Norway. You can guess what the challenge is, but you'll have to stop by the blog to be sure. ;-)*

På dette kortet har jeg brukt ark fra Kaisercraft og ett av de nye bittesmå teksstemplene fra Norsk Stempelblad. Jeg var litt usikker på om jeg ville like dem når jeg først så dem, men jeg tror de vil bli godt brukt her etterhvert. 

Motivet er fra Vildastamps og fargene jeg har brukt er listet under. Rundt kanten på motivet har jeg stemplet med poststempler fra Kort og Godt. Julestjerna er en die fra Magnolia og kvistene under er en MS punch.

*I've used papers from Kaisercraft on this card and one of the new tiny sentiment stamps from Norsk Stempelblad. I wasn't sure I would like them when I first saw them, but I think they'll be well used eventually.

Christmas is coming

Ja, jula kommer i år også og med høstens Kort-O-Mania over, kan jeg endelig konsentrere meg om julemesseproduksjon. På to dager har jeg faktisk laget ganske mye til meg å være. Jeg kan faktisk klare årets målsetting, selv med bare en knapp uke å gjøre det på! 

*Yes, christmas is coming this year too and with the fall Kort-O-Mania contest over I can finally concentrate on making stuff for the christmas charity fair. In just two days I've actually made quite a lot for me. I might actually make my goal this year, even with just a little week to do it in!*

Her kommer det første av mange sjokoladekort jeg lager i år: *Here's the first of many chocolate cards I'm making this year: *

Disse er så enkle å lage at det er en fryd! Og med lekre Pion papirer og begrenset dekor, var dette gjort på null tid. Swirlen er en die fra Magnolia. Snøfnuggene er puncher fra Martha Stewart. Det er vanskelig å se på bildet, men snøfnuggene har jeg dekket med Stickles Frosted Lace. Jeg syns det blir så lekker is-effekt av det. Teksten er fra Norsk Stempelblad og stanset ut med Tim Holtz Styled Labels die fra Sizzix.
*These are so easy to make that it is a joy! And with gorgeous papers from Pion and limited decor this was done in no time. The flourish is a die from Magnolia. The snowflakes are punches from Martha Stewart. It's hard to see in the photo, but the snowflakes are covered in Stickles Frosted Lace. I think it gives a great ice effect. The sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad die cut with Tim Holtz Styled Labels from Sizzix.*

Innsiden er en enkel lomme med plass til en stor sjokoladeplate. Kanten på lommen er punchet med en Martha Stewart punch, ellers har jeg bare brukt de samme dekorative Pion arkene, svertet med Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. Hele kortet lukkes med seambinding bånd fra Wild Orchid Crafts.

*The inside is an easy pocket with room for a large chocolate bar. The edge on the pocket is punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch, other than that I haven't used anything but the same decorative Pion papers, inked with Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. The card is closed with seambinding ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts.*

I really hadn't intended on my blog to die these past few weeks, but I've been in and out of the ER and on bedrest most of the time in between. Seems that every time I think that things are getting better, something worse happens to throw me off. Who is that Murphy-guy and why did he have to go make that stupid law!? But there has been a few moments of good times in between and those moment has of course been spent in my craft room, I just can't show the projects just yet. *wink, wink*

Aaaaanywhooo, it's Thursday again which means another challenge at Charisma Cardz. And as always we have some great sponsors with us:

I have made a card whith an image from one of our sponsors, Dr. Digis House of Stamps, called BBQ Bill.

The image is as always colored in with my ProMarkers. I've used a strip of an old patterned paper from Basic Grey and a tiny strip of green Bazzill in between. Topped it off with som Baker's Twine, a button and a tiny tag. I was gonna stamp a greeting on the tag, but I had no idea what it would be, so I just left it blank. Maybe I'll put in something later. We'll se where it goes.

Et dåpskort

For en stund siden laget jeg et kort til et par tvillinggutter, i dag skal guttene døpes og måtte få et kort på dagen. Det var ikke så enkelt å komme på ideer til dette kortet. Med fire gutter under fire år har denne familien allerede fått hauger av kort fra meg, dermed følte jeg at jeg hadde brukt mesteparten av reportoaret mitt. Det har naturlig nok blitt mye blått, så derfor fant jeg ut at grønt kunne passe like godt til guttene.
*A while ago I made a card for twin boys, today the boys are christened and had to get a card on their day. It wasn't that easy to come up with ideas for this card. With four boys under four years this family has already got heaps of cards from me, so I felt that I had spent most of my repertoire. Naturally it's been a lot of blues, so I thought that green would be just as fitting for the boys.*

Jeg klarte ikke å holde meg unna Maja-arkene denne gangen heller. Disse er fra Vintage Spring og Vintage Summer Basics kolleksjonene. Alle kanter er svertet med Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown og ytterkanten er svertet med Distress Ink Walnut Stain i tillegg. Ytterkantene er også stemplet med et splash stempel fra The Greeting Farm og sydd med maskinsøm. Bannerne er stanset ut med en die fra Papertrey Ink og sydd med sikksakk maskinsøm. Stempelet er fra Norsk Stempelblad, stemplet med Memento Rich Cocoa på kraft kartong. Seambindingen og blomstene er fra Wild Orchid Crafts og har fått et snev av sverte på seg. I sløyfa har jeg festet en knapp fra svigermors lager med hyssing fra Waltzingmouse Stamps og to hjertecharms fra lageret mitt. I blomsteroppsatsen har jeg også brukt pyntebær fra Kort og Godt. Bladene er stanset ut med EK Rock Fern punch i et av Maja arkene. Til lykke med dåpsdagen!
*I couldn't stay away from the Maja papers this time either. These are from the Vintage Spring and Vintage Summer collections. All edges are inked with Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown and the outer edge is also inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. The outer edges are also stamped with a splash stamp from The Greeting Farm and sewn with machine. The banners are die cut with a die from Papertrey Ink and sewn with zig zag machine seam. The sentiment stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa on kraft cardstock. The seambinding and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and has got a touch of ink on them. In the bow I attached a button from my mother-in-law's stash with twine from Waltzingmouse Stamps and two heart charms from my own stash. In the flower arrangement I've also used berry stamens from Kort og Godt. The leaves are punched out with EK Rock Fern punch from one of the Maja papers. Happy christening day!*

DT Charisma - Stitching

Another Thursday, another challenge over at Charisma Cardz Challenges. This time we're stitching it up. And as always we have some excellent prizes for you. Just check out our sponsors:

So what did I do for todays challenge? Well, it's been a lot of layers, colored images and distressing from me lately (or so it feels *S*), so I wanted to do something clean and simple. The only problem was that I couldn't think of anything to do that didn't include an image or lots and lots of stash (and work!). But then I discovered one of my first and greatest sources of inspiration was back after a long brake from cardmaking and I think I got a bit (con)fused. Here's what I came up with:

Not quite CAS, but not all the layers, image and stash from my previous projects either. I've already hidden my Maja Design Paper pads to force myself into using something else on my cards. So for this card I dove into my pile of scraps, and what did i find lying there just waiting to be used?  ... Maja scraps!! *lol*

And no Maja without distressing the edges. Slightly torn and inked with Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. The panels are also machine sewn, since that's the challenge for today.

For the sentiment I got to get out my poor neglected Verve Stamps, from the stamp set Blessings and the Vintage Oval Frame stamp and die, also from Verve.

A birthday card

Jeg lagde et kort i dag! Og etter den uka jeg har hatt er det en liten bragd. Men ting ser lysere ut nå, får bare håpe det varer.
Svigermor bestilte et kort til en venninne som blir 40 år snart. Jeg dro frem noen skikkelig gamle ark fra Webster's og slik ble det.
*I made a card today! And after this week I've had it's a bit of an accomplishment. But things are looking brighter now, I just hope it lasts.
My mother-in-law ordered a card for a friend that turns 40 soon. I dug out some really old papers from Webster's and this is how it turned out.*

Kanten på 12x12 arket var litt rosa, men når jeg skjærte det opp, syns jeg at jeg måtte ha litt rosa på de andre kantene også, så jeg blandet litt rød og hvit akrylmaling og gikk forsiktig over de to kantene som ikke hadde rosa på seg. Og siden jeg har litt Gesso-dilla for tiden, børstet jeg litt her og der og stemplet bakgrunnen med et script-stempel fra Panduro.
De brune stripene er rester av et ark fra FabScraps, som også fikk en omgang med malepenselen og gesso.
Sommerfuglene er en MS punch, tallene er stanset ut med Winter Wishes fra Lifestyle Crafts og teksten er fra Papirloftet.
*The edge on the 12x12 paper was a little pink distressed, but when I cut it I thought I had to have some pink on the other edges too, so I mixed some red and white acrylic paint and went carefully over the edges that wasn't pink. And since I'm a little hooked on Gesso these days I brushed some here and there and stamped the background with a script stamp from Panduro.
The brown strips are scraps from a dp from FabScraps which also got a round with the paint brush and gesso.
The butterflies are an MS punch, the numbers are die cut with Winter Wishes from Lifestyle Crafts and the sentiment is from Papirloftet.*

Mojo Monday

I was actually on my way to bed when I realized I almost missed the deadline on the Mojo Monday contest, and I love Mojo Monday sketches and Verve Stamps, so I couldn't let that happen. I got upstairs and whipped up this card real quick.

 

I grabbed the first piece of leftover paper that was on my desk, and that was the dark turquoise one from Kaisercraft Utopia Collection. Got a couple of other pieces from the same paper pad, stamped up and die cut the most wonderful sentiment I know of (from Verve of course) and inked the edges slightly with Distress Ink Dusty Concord. Since there are tons of challenges related to love, hearts and/or Valentine's around these days, I thought I'd catch a few of them too, so I punched out two little purple hearts that are peeking out from underneath the bow. And there you have it, a card for a loved one.

Joy fold card for my sister

Nå er det tilbake til hverdagen etter nesten en uke på tur. Min lillesøster hadde 30 års dag i forrige uke, så jeg dro for å feire litt med henne. Seks deilige dager med kos og latter og mange overraskelser. Det vil si, hun var ikke så lett å overraske, må nok jobbe med dekkhistoriene mine til neste gang! *lol* Kortet var vel det eneste hun ble overrasket over!
*Back to everyday life after almost a week on the road. My little sister had her 30th birthday last week, so I went to celebrate a little with her. Six wonderful days with joy and laughter and lots of surprises. That is, she wasn't that easy to surprise, gotta work on my cover stories till next time! *lol* The card was propably the only thing that surprised her!*

Jeg laget et joy fold kort med ark fra Pion Design. Teksten er fra Kort og Godt, stanset ut med Spellbinders Labels sixteen. Resin pynten oppe til høyre er fra Melissa Frances. *I made a joy fold card with papers from Pion Design. The sentiment is from Kort og Godt die cut with Spellbinders Labels sixteen. The resin decor in the upper right corner is from Melissa Frances.*

Bretten er dekorert med Seambinding og blomster fra Wild Orchid Crafts, twine fra Waltzingmouse Stamps og en hjerte charm fra lageret mitt. En resin fugl fra Prima hjelper til å holde nede bretten. På kanten har jeg brukt en MS kant punch. *The fold is decorated with seam binding ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, twine from Waltzingmouse Stamps and a heart charm from my stash. A resin bird from Prima helps to keep the fold down.*

Slik ser det ut når kortet er helt brettet ut. I ettertid skulle jeg ønske jeg hadde laget kortet i midten litt større, så det ble bedre plass til å skrive på. Må huske på det til neste gang. *This is what it looks like all folded out. In retrospect I wish I had made the center card a bit bigger to make more room for writing. Gotta remember it till next time.*

 Alt i alt syns jeg det ble nokså bra til å være første forsøk på et slikt kort, og med tanke på at det ble satt sammen på tre timer midt på natta før jeg skulle reise. Min søster ble i alle fall glad for det og det er jo det viktigste! Gratulerer med dagen, lillesøs! *All in all I thought it was pretty good for a first try on this kinda card and given it was put together in three hours in the middle of the night before I left. At least my sister was happy about it and that's the most important thing! Happy birthday, babysis!*

Mojo Monday serverer igjen en lekker skisse og jeg måtte bare la meg inspirere. Jeg hadde ikke akkurat planlagt å lage et rosa julekort, men disse lekre arkene fra Vibeke Spigseth skriker jo etter å bli brukt. *Mojo Monday is again serving up a fab sketch and I just had to let myself be inspired. I didn't exactely plan on making a pink christmas card, but these yummy papers from Vibeke Spigseth are just crying to be used.*

Kantene er svertet med Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. Borden er stanset ut med MS Swirling Lace kantpunch på hvit kartong. Denne kartongbiten har også fått en stripe ark fra samme blokka som det rosa arket, en sølvstripet Washi tape og en bitteliten stripe av bakgrunnsarket. Teksten er fra Kort og Godt og er stemplet med Memento Desert Sand i en Spellbinders labels fourteen die cut og svertet forsiktig med Distress Ink Antique Linen. Snøfnuggene har fått Stickles på seg i fargen Frosted Lace og perler i midten. *The edges are sponged with Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown. The border is punched out with MS Swirling Lace edge punch on white cardstock. This piece of cardstock also got a strip of paper from the same paper pad as the pink paper, a silver striped Washi tape and a tiny strip of the background paper. The sentiment is from Kort og Godt and is stamped with Memento Desert Sand in a Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die cut and carefully inked with Distress Ink Antique Linen. Christmas is coming way too fast for me. I was gonna wait another month or so until I started on my christmas cards, but this weeks challenge in Kort-O-Mania called for a Clean and Simple christmas card. Easy peasy, right? Nope.. I hate challenges that I love! The ideas are so many, that to choose The One idea is a nightmare!

 

This time I went with my first idea, which I thought was pretty good. But it didn't turn out excactely the way I wanted, so I changed my mind and went from good to worse. And then I started the third one, but realized halfway (and half hour before the deadline) that this was gonna be even worse, so I ended up turning in the first one after all. How it all turns out we'll know on Wednesday night. Until then, this is "the worse"-card:

 

Can't get much simpler than this. Kraft card base, a piece of a doily, a piece of Divine Twine and a piece of a Panduro stamp, stamped in Memento Ladybug.

Herlig søndag

Hvis lørdager er perfekt for ti minutters kort, må søndager være perfekt for fargelegging. I dag har jeg kost meg med Whispy fra Saturated Canary. *If Saturdays are perfect for ten minute cards, then Sundays must be perfect for coloring. Today I've been enjoying myself with Whispy from Saturated Canary.*

Hun er fargelagt med Promarkers og har fått Stickles på vingene og i skjørtet. *She's been colored with Promarkers and got Stickles on her wings and in the skirt.*

Kortet ble satt sammen med utgangspunkt i ukens skisse fra Mojo Monday. Jeg har brukt ark fra Magnolia og stemplet kantene med Inkido Stars. *The card was put together based on this weeks sketch from Mojo Monday. I've used papers from Magnolia and stamped the edges with Inkido Stars.*

Skissen ble nok ikke fulgt helt eksakt, jeg kunne jo ikke skjule motivet! I stedet la jeg en tekst på en tag bak motivet, et triks jeg har lært av Elin. :) *I didn't follow the sketch excactely, I couldn't hide the image! Instead I put a sentiment on a tag behind the image, a trick I learned from Elin. :) *

Ikke mye dekor på dette kortet, men et par roser fra WOC med stickles og en sommerfugl fra en MS punch, som jeg har fargelagt med de samme fargene som digistempelet og strøket på litt Stickles. *Not much decor on this card, but a couple of roses from WOC with stickles and a butterfly from a MS punch which I colored with the same colors as the digistamp and applied a little Stickles.*

Det går i konfirmasjonskort her om dagen, denne gangen i det min kjære mann kalte "et spenstig fargevalg". :)

Jeg fikk endelig brukt mine Glitz-ark, som har støvet ned i flere år, faktisk! En annen ting som har lagt på vent i årevis, er stjerne-bindersene. De kjøpte jeg på Nille en gang i tiden. 

Og jeg fikk prøvekjørt min splitter nye Cheery Lynn doilie die, som ble med meg hjem fra Bikuben da jeg var der.

Jeg kan vel være enig i at dette er spreke farger, men i følge min 14-årige niese er dette den kuleste fargekomboen i hele verden, så da satser jeg på at dette kortet kan gjøre en konfirmant lykkelig.

*It's all about confirmation cards these days, this time in what my dh called "a feisty choice of colors". :) I finally got to use my Glitz papers that has been collecting dust for several years actually! Another thing that has been on hold for years are the star paper clips. I bought them at Nille some time ago. And I got to test run my brand new Cheery Lynn doilie die that came home with me from Bikuben when I was there. I can agree that these are spunky colors, but according to my 14 year old niece this is the coolest colorcombo in the entire world, so I'm hoping this card can make some confirmant happy.*
