This is my second post today, make sure you check out my celebration post.
As I've already stated earlier today, I'm thrilled to be a Charisma DT gal! And today my very first challenge goes live at the challenge blog. I'm really excited and a little bit nervous, but I think it's gonna be lots of fun. And I hope you'll find some inspiration from me or the other DT gal's work. So let's get down to business, shall we?
The challenge this week is a sketch that lovely Natalie has created for us.
And here's my take on it:
When I showed this image from our sponsor to my hubbie, he immediately said "Moulin Rouge". Bit of a creative gene in that guy too, I guess. At least I thought it was a great idea. I googled both Moulin Rouge and Burlesque, and found some inspiration. The colors are red, black and gold, so I stamped a pattern on the red background with an embossing folder from Darice, and inked the edges with Versacolor gold and Black Soot Distress Ink.
This image inspired the horizontal panel with red satin ribbon stripes.
And these two pictures inspired the "fan" behind the image.
A little closeup of the surprise-girl from one of our sponsors Redonkulous Designs. And the sprocket behind her that I die cut with a Spellbinders die. The image is colored with ProMarkers.
So hop on over to Charisma Cardz and check out the inspiration from the other DT gals.
