I've been on holiday and completely mixed up the dates for the new challenge at Charisma. And when I realized it the Turkish Internet wouldn't let me access Blogger. But better late than never, right? So here it goes, my inspiration for the buttons and bows challenge.
My sweet friend, Elin, came up with the idea for a tag pocket easel dresser card and I've been thinking about trying it since the first time I saw it, but I haven't had the opportunity to do it until now when I needed a card/present for a christening.
The cute little box has an easel on top, made with GoKreate die and gorgeous Inkido papers. When I took a closer look at the papers I realized that they were propably ment for weddings, but it wasn't all that obvious, so I guess it will be ok.
The top card is sewn with machine around three edges to make a pocket for the tag. I've die cut a Spellbinders Stately Circle and stamped a text with a stamp from Papirdesign. A few flowers from WOC and some pearls are the only decor apart from the seambinding and Divine Twine bow and button from my stash on the tag.
To make the easel stand I die cut an oval with Spellbinders Floral Ovals where I put the name of the baby and the date of the christening and adhered it with foam pads.
I had planned to use a TH knob on the drawer, but since this was finished on holiday and the handles was at home, I had to improvise and ended up with just a piece of seambinding to open the drawer.
Here I've taken the tag out of the pocket and stamped it with another sentiment from Papirdesign. I've also left room for a personal greeting.
Inside the drawer is the room for the gift.
I made a card slightly wider than the drawer to make the card bend up and partially cover the knot for the handle.
It also makes a nice display for the little bracelet we gave her. And I stamped a sentiment from Papirdesign on the background.
When the gift card is removed it shows the bottom of the drawer with another piece of the same paper from Inkido.
And that's it. Super cute if I may say so myself.
Now I hope you'll join in the challenge at Charisma, even though it's just a few days left of the challenge.
